Society Insurance is seeking an experienced Application Developer to join our Information Technology team. The ideal candidate would have experience within the insurance industry. 

About the Role

  • Performs application development and/or maintenance support using SQL, C#.Net, Visual Studio, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, RESTful services
  • Performs Software Development Life Cycle activities: transforms requirements into prototypes, writes code, performs unit testing, debugs code issues, promotes code, and provides implementation support. 
  • Primarily focuses on developing third party integrations and regulatory reporting solutions 
  • Solves software and business process challenges by reading code or technical documentation.
  • Works with Project Leads and/or System Architects within an Agile team to define, estimate, and complete project tasks.  
  • Collaborates with Business Analysts and Quality Analysts to understand requirements and resolve any testing issues.
  • Conducts unit testing prior to advancing to Quality Assurance testing.
  • Attends and actively participates in scrum/agile ceremonies on a regular basis. 
  • Records time consistently and accurately for assigned project tasks.

What it Will Take

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science.
  • 2 years of application development experience required; 4+ years highly preferred.
  • Experience with some or all of the following: SQL, C#.Net, Visual Studio, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, RESTful services
  • Experience in project-based application development environments (PM, SDLC, Agile methods).
  • Working knowledge in designing and developing a multiple tier environment.
