Assistant/Associate Registrar

The Office of the Registrar is seeking applications for an Assistant/Associate Registrar. This position reports to the Registrar of Ripon College. The Office of the Registrar performs a wide range of functions relating to the management of academic records/data, administration of academic policy, and the support of the academic program and student success.

The Assistant/Associate Registrar position is a full-time exempt position, which administers all aspects of student and course academic records, including the collection, integrity and dissemination of academic data/information, collaboration with campus partners, and the reporting of various data. Daily responsibilities include phone calls, email review, and transcript requests. The position assists the Registrar in managing datasets and analyzing/reporting on data, guiding the College through the academic calendar, developing processes and solving problems. The Assistant/Associate Registrar may also represent the Office of the Registrar on campus committees. The position requires a high level of confidentiality and routinely interacts with prospective students/parents, current students/parents, alumni, staff, faculty and external constituencies, while promoting the mission and values of Ripon College. Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree and three-plus years of related work experience are required. Work experience in higher education preferred. Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are essential. A knowledge of computer applications (e.g. Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Drive) is necessary, as well experience with a database system. The willingness to learn and train new systems is key. Experience in data management, analysis, and reporting are strongly preferred, along with familiarity of SQL and/or query logic.

Candidates must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, work independently and as a team player. The successful candidate will demonstrate analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask. In addition, the successful candidate must enjoy communicating and working with students. Demonstrated commitment to diversity required and experience with promoting inclusivity preferred.
