Description
Summary:
This position is responsible for implementing automated and manual solutions for our manufacturing processes as a member of our in-house integration team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement automation equipment including design (SolidWorks), controls design (SolidWorks Electrical), equipment assembly, electrical controls assembly, and programing (robotics, PLCs).
- Manage work assignments and projects for Engineering Technicians and Mechanical Designers.
- Develop production processes for new products.
- Lead continuous improvement projects for existing equipment and processes.
- Investigate and source production tooling equipment.
- Organize and conduct meetings when necessary.
- Other job activities as assigned.
Essential Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Process Control, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required; 4-6 years of automation manufacturing experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Strong capability in automation including robotics, PLCs, dispense systems, automated optical inspection, and automated feed systems
- Fundamental understanding of manufacturing technology and processes to include small part assembly, welding, glue and gel process control, trimming, stamping, molding, and machining
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects in parallel using MS Project while meeting project deadlines
- Working knowledge of CAD concepts; dimensioning of mechanical or electrical components
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as needed

- Computers and various pieces of automation equipment
- Hand tools, Drills, Taps, Saws, wire strippers, crimpers, etc. used in assembling automation equipment
Personal Protective Equipment/Clothing Required (PPE):
- Safety glasses and hearing protection as required.
- ESD smock and grounding equipment as required.
