This position promotes and supports the learning experience of Marian University students by coordinating, and planning the Auxiliary Services of Marian University, which includes logistical support for campus functions including set-up, tear-down, work orders, including grounds, maintenance, housekeeping and athletics.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinates auxiliary service activities by providing set-up, tear-down, and other support services for all University events, including:
- a) special events to promote the University’s external image
- b) internal events such as graduations, award dinners, validation, pinning ceremonies, etc.
- c) summer conferences such as EAA, CSA Retreat, etc.
- Creates all University name tags and name plates as requested.
- Maintain adequate supplies of signage material and engraving cutters to generate name tags, and name plates as requested.
- Coordinates outsourcing of ADA signage.
- Support work-orders, which may include services to support grounds, maintenance, environmental services, IT and athletics.
- Coordinate University moves and relocation of offices.
- Plan, coordinate and organize seasonal decorating.
- Organize and maintain inventory list of storage items.
- Maintain and order inventory for EAA and CSA (i.e. linens, cups, pillows, bedding and laundry services).
- Consistently provide a high level of customer service in a positive and professional manner to internal and external members of the community.
- Manage and maintain lodging license for the University.
- Support the facilities department with various administrative duties where needed (i.e. maintain safety logs for each division in facilities, create and maintain electronic documents and files).
- Maintains a positive work environment by cooperating in a professional manner with the University community.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in leading and coordinating a wide area of activities.
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Computer literate.
- Willingness to support the Mission and Core Values of the University.
