Reporting to the Cash Services Team Lead, the Specialist is responsible for the accuracy and timely processing of all daily receipts to the account receivable file maintained in the ERP system for assigned business units of Shared Credit Services.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Daily processing and balancing of ACH, Wire, Credit Card & Checks received from customers
- Apply Cash Receipts with minimal supervision
- Post Credit Card Payments
- Identify and distribute customer payment deductions to Shared Credit Services Team
- Accounting and Cash Reconciliations
- Run daily & monthly department reports
- Develop Procedures to increase Cash Application efficiency
- Provide Cross Functional Support throughout the department as needed
- All other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Verbal, written and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to foster strong professional relationships with diverse personalities while remaining, tactful, professional, and flexible.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and transactions.
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks timely.
- Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to independently deliver on commitments.
- Self-motivated, ability to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to reset priorities to meet daily demands, including new responsibilities within the department.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business or a related field is required.
- 1 or more years of business-related experience.
