Communications and HR Generalist

The City of Ripon is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the newly created role of Communications and Human Resources Generalist. As a key member of our administrative team, you’ll play a vital role in managing both communication and HR functions. Reporting to the City Administrator, you’ll collaborate with department heads to ensure clear communication internally and externally, while also supporting our employees’ needs and fostering a thriving workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop communication strategies and engagement initiatives.
  • Create engaging content for various channels including social media and newsletters.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Assist with HR policy development and benefits administration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, HR, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of HR laws and best practices.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools.

Starting Salary Range: $54K-$62K, DOQ w/ excellent benefits.
