Position Summary:
Manage the credit and collection functions for a portfolio of accounts, which average a monthly receivable balance of $10 Million. The analyst is responsible for the collection of account receivables, minimizing losses and maximizing sales. The analyst establishes and maintains credit lines for new customers and existing customers and recommends procedures that govern the credit and collection activities. They establish and maintain professional working relationships with both internal and external customers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Analyzes credit information to determine risk involved in lending money to commercial customers and prepares reports on findings.
- Manage the credit and collection functions for a group of customers. Approve orders for accounts that fail to pass through the auto-approval parameters due to delinquency, over lines, etc. Release orders once credit worthiness has been determined and collection is reasonably assured.
- Generates reports involving ratios for use in evaluating customer financial status. Prepares reports and charts on credit analysis for review by supervisor.
- Suggests advisability of credit extension to supervisor for final decision.
- Assists in collecting payment from past due accounts.
- Import cash from bank and apply to corresponding account daily.
- All other duties and projects as assigned.

- Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to independently deliver on commitments.
- Ability to forecast monthly bad debt for reserve purposes.
- Ability to schedule an annual plan for collecting financial statements.
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimal task level oversight.
- Ability to reset priorities to meet daily demands, including new responsibilities within the department
- Demonstrated technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required
- 1 or more years of business-related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is preferred
