As the area’s go-to organization for both chamber and economic development services, we’re here to make sure our community thrives. Formed in 2017 by combining the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce and Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation, our mission is simple but powerful: we bring people together to boost economic vibrancy, strengthen local pride, and invest in the next generation.

What You’ll Do:
- Be a Connector and Guide: Serve as the first point of contact for entrepreneurs and small business owners across Fond du Lac County. You’ll intake new clients, assess their needs, and connect them with the right resources—whether it’s expert advice, funding options, or hands-on support. You’ll triage entrepreneurs to our network of business development partners, ensuring they receive tailored support.
- Future-Proof Local Businesses: You’ll introduce entrepreneurs to cutting-edge tools and trends (hello, AI and digital marketing!) that will help them thrive in the digital age.
- Build a Community of Innovators: Plan workshops, networking events, and mastermind groups that bring together Fond du Lac County’s brightest minds and give them the support they need to grow.
- Support Economic Development Efforts: Submit grant applications for economic development programs, maintain an up-to-date list of available properties and vacant spaces throughout Fond du Lac County, and help track key metrics to drive the success of our team of four.
Who You’ll Work With:
- Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners: From first-time founders to seasoned pros, you’ll work with a diverse range of business leaders.
- IGNITE: You’ll collaborate with Envision’s entrepreneurship support network, create and coordinate program development, and deliver innovative programming to support the entrepreneur ecosystem in the greater Fond du Lac area.
- A Dynamic, Supportive Team: You’ll be part of an economic development team that’s passionate about the future of business, collaboration, and creating positive change.
What You’ll Need:
- A love for small businesses and startups—they’re your jam.
- Experience in entrepreneurship, small business development, or economic development (bonus points if you’ve been a founder yourself!).
- A forward-thinking mindset—you’re always one step ahead on trends, technologies, and opportunities.
- An understanding of inclusive economic development and the importance of diversity in business.
- Skills in strategy, communication, and community building—you know how to rally people around a shared vision and make things happen.
