Overview
The Finance Manager, NA Manufacturing leads the ALS fixed asset management process, month end close, forecast, budget, related analyses, and other projects for the company. This position is based in Ripon, WI, and open to supporting relocation for serious candidates only.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve ALS Capital / Fixed Asset Management processes and related reporting (5-year Plan, Budget, Forecast, Month End, etc.)
- Supervise Fixed Asset Analyst.
- Leads plant budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitors monthly closing process in conjunction with the NA Manufacturing Finance team. Performs journal entries and reconciliations for a variety of accounts.
- Provide reporting and insight that explain performance compared to run rates, prior year, and plans by identifying key business drivers and trends.
- Designated business partner for various NA Manufacturing departments.
- Drive results with cross-functional management team members. Monitor and report financial performance to identify areas of improvement.
- Communicates results effectively to management and non-financial team members.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to NA Manufacturing Finance and AP members as needed to drive finance processes.
- Educate plant team members on finance principles and controls.
- Develops and shares best practices across the organization re: process improvements, financial modeling, procedure changes, etc.
- Ensure the application of efficient and effective financial and operating controls within the Company.
- Provide support for the annual physical inventory and annual standard cost roll up for North American Operations.
- Provide occasional support for other regions.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- MBA, highly desirable
- At least 7 years of relevant experience is required
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills in building working models and business management tools and solid working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Results oriented with strong attention to detail to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion.
- Comfortable operating with minimum supervision and able to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to independently plan, prioritize and carry out simultaneous projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization through strong verbal and written communication.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of data to analyze, interpret, and present to audience in concise and appropriate way.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional business partners.
- Ability to resolve conflicts with direct report, team members, and cross-functional business partners.
- Experience in financial analysis in manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP preferred.
