Salary Range – $35,000.00 – $50,000.00 Salary



The Food Service Coordinator oversees the food service operations for all program locations within the organization to meet the nutritional needs of Club members and ensure the program follows policies and procedures to meet federal and state requirements.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

  1. Review menus for snacks and meals for the purpose of meeting dietary requirements and providing safe, nutritious, and appealing meals according to Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines.
  2. Maintains equipment, storage, food preparation and serving areas in a functional and sanitary condition to comply with current health and safety codes.
  3. Manage inventory and submit weekly reports with attention to order accuracy and food quality.
  4. Develops efficient systems for recording and collecting required data (e.g., meal counts, production records, delivery receipts, reimbursement claims) and assures all required documentation and reporting is completed accurately and timely to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and organization health, safety, and sanitation standards, including procuring the appropriate permits.
  5. Support financial aspects of CACFP program including the review and processing of meal service expenses and calculating reimbursement percentage as needed by maintaining a monthly program expense tracker.
  6. Prepare and serve snacks and meals; ensuring that food is prepared according to standardized recipes and served in the appropriate quantities and at required temperatures.
  7. Work in a clean, neat manner, ensuring that all sanitation and nutrition practices are maintained by all kitchen employees at all times.
  8. Monitors kitchen and dining room areas and procedures for the purpose of ensuring a safe environment.
  9. Use and model positive behavior support techniques at all times.
  10. Facilitate food service trainings.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 2+ years of experience working in a commercial kitchen planning and preparing meals
  • Specialized training in food safety.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of budget management, program accountability, basic accounting and reporting.
  • Experience with licensing and health and safety requirements.
  • Must hold a valid State Driver’s License and personal auto insurance
  • Must pass background check and reference check
