Key Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Assist in the loading and unloading of raw materials, components, and finished products. Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the work area clean and organized, including sweeping, disposing of scrap materials, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Equipment Setup: Help set up and prepare machinery and tools for the fabrication process, as directed by the team leads or supervisors.
- Assembly Support: Assist in assembling components, aligning parts, and positioning materials for fabrication.
- Quality Control: Inspect and report any defects or issues in materials or fabricated parts to the appropriate personnel.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the fabrication team to meet production goals and ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
- Other Duties: Perform other tasks and duties as required by the team leads or supervisors to support the fabrication process.
Qualifications
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of metalworking tools and equipment is a plus.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not necessary.
