Assist with creation, design/development, planning, implementation, support and evaluation of Grande’s health and wellness program, including but not limited to: health plans, fitness, nutrition, stress management, mental and financial well-being. Serve as an advisor to Associates and their dependents and provide consultation regarding health and wellness issues and concerns.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
1. Wellness Coordination
a. Lead the building of the Health and Wellness Culture while utilizing behavior change practices, develop and implement wellness programs and healthy initiatives aimed at encouraging Associates and dependents to adopt healthy lifestyles by actively participating in wellness activities, committees, health fairs and programs.
b. Develop, plan, implement and coordinate worksite program initiatives, strategies and health and wellness activities related to Associate and family members wellness.
c. Analyze wellness initiatives as they relate to cost saving measures/impact on benefits costs, ROI, absenteeism, attraction and retention, Associate morale and overall health improvements.
d. Identify key wellness issues and problems using confidential information and assessment data and provide appropriate programs, implement results-oriented initiatives that are researched, designed and efficiently executed focusing on improved health, increased productivity and cost containment.
e. Assist in the preparation and administration of the Health and Wellness Program budget, ordering supplies, creating purchase orders and coding invoices.
f. Lead and proactively develop the Grande Wellness committee while acquiring program buy-in and support through all levels of the organization.
g. Partner with multiple vendors to create, implement, administer and track programs for Associates and their dependents.
h. Support outreach and wellness activities that may include communications, events, training and/or workshops.
i. Participate in health and wellness surveys and benchmarking studies to continue to monitor current programs, review plans and make recommendations.
j. Evaluate and measure campaign success, year over year engagement, utilization of programs, program success and participation.
2. Health & Wellness Centers
a. Responsible for managing the Grande Fitness Centers to include; member access, liability waivers, IPads, preventative equipment maintenance, purchasing/replacing new equipment and communication.
b. Assist the Senior Manager, HR – Benefits, Health & Wellness in the Health and Wellness Centers to communicate services, market programs, engage Associates and their family members.
c. Coordinate with the H&W Center vendors to design, plan and schedule multiple health and wellness programs and initiatives and ensure the confidentiality of the participants information.
d. Lead the development, implementation, tracking and provide analysis of data and communication of the health and wellness programs.
e. Manage the contract with fitness instructors, provide feedback to instructors, develop fitness class schedule and create communication.
f. Choregraph, teach and evaluate fitness classes for members to participate in at Grande fitness centers.
g. Partner with internal and external teams to coordinate hearing exams, job assessments, stretching programs, ergonomic reviews and return to work programs to ensure health and wellness protocols are followed accordingly.
3. Health, Welfare and Benefit Plans
a. Be the subject matter expert in all areas of Health and Wellness to be seen as a resource for HRBP’s to call upon insights, advice and support as necessary.
b. Work with the Total Rewards & Benefits Analysts to develop, review, update and communicate information through multiple channels (Digital Boards, Grandehealth.com, website, Posters, newsletters, notifications) with up-to-date and accurate information.
c. Assist the Senior Manager, HR – Benefits, Health & Wellness in leading the organization through analysis and plan modifications for health and welfare plan offerings, design and cost control strategies while using appropriate communications, materials, vendors and community resources.
d. Assist with the administration and management of all benefit programs in analyzing existing benefit programs and policies to determine competitiveness with prevailing practices, evaluating services and coverage, providing best in class benefit options, administering benefit surveys, providing analysis tracking and reporting, and maintain a positive relationship with insurance companies, vendors and other third parties to best meet our needs.
e. Assist the Total Rewards & Benefits Analysts with processing benefit administration functions; including eligibility for new hires, life event changes, terminations, billing, reporting, identifying missing information integration with payroll, FMLA/STD administration, SBC’s, ACA notices, 5500’s, plan documents and on-going maintenance of the HRIS and data migration to vendors.
f. Responsible for staying current on Health and Wellness regulatory and legal compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science, Health Education, Public Health, Nutrition, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Human Resources, Business or other related field required.
Experience & Training
• Minimum of three (3) years’ related experience in benefits and wellness program administration.
Licenses & Certifications
• Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP), Worksite Wellness Specialist Certification (CWWS), Certified Education Specialist (CHES) designations preferred.
• WELCOA Certification preferred.
• Fitness teaching certification preferred (ACE, NESTA, ASCM, AFAA, ACSM, NASM, ISSA, NETA)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Advanced knowledge of HR practices and strategies, health and benefit design, wellness, ERISA, non-discrimination, IRS rules and employment law.
• Ability to choreograph and teach fitness classes.
• Advanced working knowledge of HRIS.
• Ability to be analytical and decisive.
• Intermediate level of operations in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and HRIS.
• Ability to operate in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines and being able to meet deadlines while working through interruptions.
Bachelors Degree or better in Human Resource Management or related field.
3 years: Experience in benefits and wellness program administration.
