Job Title: High Voltage Electrical Integration Engineer
Location: W6250 Pioneer Road, Fond Du Lac, WI 54935
Job Description:
- Develop and advance electric propulsion systems.
- Specify high voltage (HV) architecture and design HV harnesses and connections between electric propulsion devices and battery systems.
- Interact with electrical engineers and technicians on the vessel design teams for the integration of the electric propulsion and vessel electronics.
- Develop HV schematics, leading to the design of HV harnesses and connection systems.
- Select circuit protection devices such as contactors and fuses for the HV system.
- Support development of component/product specifications that ensure compliance to vessel, system and component requirements (including performance, EMC, high voltage safety, thermal, reliability, and durability).
- Apply industry standards, including UNECE GTR20, FMVSS 305, and SAEJ1772 to the design of the parts. Write DVP for safety tests for high voltage systems, and use HV test equipment such as power analyzers, bidirectional power supplies and hipot testers.
- Work with Mercury and Brunswick HV battery partners to provide input to the battery and system design.
- Provide input on electrical system function specifications that relate to the HV system.
- Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
- Experience Requirement: 5 years of experience in electrification systems engineering.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience, will accept a master’s degree plus three years of experience in the same fields.
- Special Skills: Must have some work experience with each of the following: 1) Specifying High Voltage (HV) EV architecture, including automotive energy storage subsystems and controls experience; 2) Applying industry standards, including UNECE GTR20, FMVSS 305, and SAEJ1772 to the design of the parts; and 3) Writing DVP for safety tests for high voltage automotive or marine systems, and using HV test equipment such as power analyzers, bidirectional power supplies and hipot testers.
- Salary: $111,363 – $118,450
