Description

Responsible for overseeing and facilitating daily HR activities, including the administration of company policies and guidelines.  This role encompasses employee relations, employee engagement, performance evaluations, benefits administration, and employee separation processes.

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE

  • Serve as a primary contact and resource for employment related requests, questions and concerns; provide prompt and appropriate guidance to employees and management
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all federal, state, local laws, as well as company policies and guidelines relating to employment practices
  • Address and resolve employee relation issues, such as employee complaints, harassment and discrimination and elevates to the attention of management as necessary
  • Provide assistance to management on the interpretation and enforcement of company policies and guidelines
  • Build and maintain professional rapport with employees, management, and external (customers, vendors, providers, etc.)
  • Support company decisions and represent the company in a positive and trusting manner
  • Promotes and supports the company’s health and wellness initiatives


BUSINESS OPERATIONS

  • Maintain accurate HRIS records, employee files and company organizational charts
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting and guidance to employees on the use of the company HRIS
  • Coordinate and administer leave of absences (FMLA) and return to work while remaining empathetic to the employee’s medical concerns
  • Administer benefits including enrollment, life event changes, open enrollment and communication of benefit information to employees
  • Ensure timely and accurate annual EEO-1 Reporting and ACA Reporting
  • Organize and coordinate company events such as open enrollment, annual meetings, Health Assessments, HR trainings, etc.
  • Manage the administration of the company’s anniversary program and other employee appreciation/recognition programs.
  • Assist with paperwork surrounding Unemployment Compensation (UC) claims submission, qualified medical child support order (QMCSO) and verifications of employment
  • Manage the employee disciplinary process, including accurately drafting documentation, preparing corrective action documents, and participating in meetings, investigations and terminations

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, related field or equivalent experience required
  • Experience of one (1) to three (3) years of work experience in human resources required
  • Experience in a distribution and/or sales environment preferred
  • Strategic Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) certification preferred
Travel Required

Yes. Required to travel to other company locations, in state, as needed
