The nursing program seeks Adjunct Clinical Instructors to start Fall 2024. The Clinical Instructor will play a vital role in guiding and supervising nursing students during their clinical rotations, providing valuable hands-on experience and facilitating their transition from classroom theory to real-world practice. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of nursing professionals and contribute to the advancement of healthcare.


  1. Provide instruction, guidance, and supervision to nursing students during clinical rotations in various healthcare settings.
  2. Plan, organize, and facilitate clinical experiences that align with the curriculum objectives and learning
  3. Demonstrate and promote safe and evidence-based nursing practices to ensure quality patient
  4. Collaborate with nursing faculty, clinical coordinators, and healthcare professionals to coordinate clinical placements and evaluate student performance.
  5. Assess students’ clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, professional behaviors, and clinical assignments through observation, feedback, and evaluation.
  6. Foster a supportive and interactive learning environment that encourages student engagement, collaboration, and clinical competence.
  7. Serve as a mentor and role model for nursing students, promoting professional development, ethical conduct, and lifelong learning.
  8. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, clinical hours, skills assessments, evaluations, and other relevant documentation.
  9. Stay current with advancements in nursing education, clinical practice guidelines, and regulatory


  1. Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited
  2. Active and unrestricted registered nurse (RN) license in the state of
  3. Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience in a relevant healthcare
  4. Prior teaching or precepting experience
  5. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational
  6. Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in nursing education and
  7. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and clinical
  8. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, clinical sites, and student
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR)
  10. Willingness to adhere to Marian University’s mission and core values, as well as institutional policies, procedures, and professional standards.
