We are ready to make that investment in you. We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Global Transportation team!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Freight spend analysis for a global supply chain and ability to present data to leadership.
- Experience with pricing and carrier cost structures.
- Support pricing discussions and RFP’s with ability to understand cost implications.
- Mode, cost, transit analysis of international and domestic lanes to provide best service options.
- Build dashboards to easily represent data, trends, and measure KPI’s.
- Provide analysis to management and teams to make data driven decisions.
- Will represent the transportation team in meetings-projects with IT, and others, on system upgrades, or in reviewing vendors.
- Ability to lead projects for process improvements and become certified through Mercury’s LSS program is a must.
- Candidate will also be the first point of contact for our freight audit & pay partner as they have discrepancies on invoices. The person will approve costs or work with the carriers on disputes.
- Familiarity with finance e.g., payments, PO’s, invoicing and provide discrepancy resolution.
- As part of the transportation team, the analyst will also support general inquiries for customer service escalations, damage complaints, ETA’s etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- BS/BA is required.
- Proven ability to use analytics to support business decisions.
- Ability to lead / participate in meetings representing our logistics group.
PREFERRED
- Familiarity with Oracle TMS, Manhattan WMS, AS400, PowerBI will be beneficial.
- Preference will be given to individuals with transportation experience.

- Involvement in annual pricing discussions and analysis of proposed GRI’s to understand cost implications
- Participate in RFP’s as we source vendors for new services
- Mode, Cost, Transit comparisons of International and Domestic lanes to provide best service options
- Analyze and evaluate performance/cost trade-offs
- Build dashboards to easily represent data, trends and measure KPI’s
- Provide analysis to management and teams to make data driven decisions
- Familiarity with Oracle TMS, Manhattan WMS, AS400, PowerBI will be beneficial as we use those systems currently
- Will represent the Transportation team in meetings-projects with IT on system upgrades, or in reviewing new potential TMS suppliers
- Ability to lead projects for process improvements and get certified through Mercury’s LSS program is a must
- Since this position will work close with our carrier pricing teams, the candidate will also be the first point of contact for our freight payment company as they have discrepancies on invoices. The person will approve costs or work with the carriers on disputes
- As part of the Transportation team, the analyst will also support general inquiries for customer service escalations, damage complaints, ETA’s etc
