What you will do:
- Analyze product delivery or supply chain processes to identify and recommend changes.
- Reorganize shipping schedules to consolidate loads, maximize vehicle usage, or limit
the movement of empty vehicles or containers. - Manage rout activities such as invoicing, electronic bills, and shipment tracing.
- Develop and maintain cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models.
- Manage ad-hoc queries and maintain reports.
- Conduct analysis and create reports of weekly and monthly KPIs, such as on-time
delivery rates, order-fulfillment rates, inventory turns, etc. - Audit transportation accessorial charges by carrier and customer.
- Correct freight settlement documents to ensure the proper accruing of freight on a daily
basis. - Estimate distribution costs for new business opportunities, such as indirect/direct freight,
distribution center costs, etc.
What it takes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related
field. - Two or more years of experience in transportation, logistics, or customer service
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Think creatively to solve problems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Customer focused.
- Resilient in stressful situations.
The Logistics Specialist will report to the Director of Supply Chain.
