Job Summary: 

Process mailing lists and UPS & FedX shipping batch lists using required software.  Assists customer, MCCS (Mailing Customer Care Specialist), and Project Coordinator with mailing and list requirements.  Verifies that job conforms to USPS regulations.

Reports To: 

Mail List Processing Supervisor

Lean Expectations (Each employment anniversary year):

  • Participate in at least two hours of educational experience (s) such as job shadowing, technical skills training, cross training, webinars, seminars, Lean networking tours, etc.
  • Implement at least one improvement idea.

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Import, process, and output customer mailing lists.  
  • Check files for conformity to supplied layouts, and mailpiece for conformity to USPS regulations.
  • Prepare proper documentation, including mock ups and layout information within USPS specifications. 
  • Merge/Purge processing, advise on strategies and limitations.
  • Data entry and list maintenance.
  • Advise ink jet production personnel regarding data set up.
  • Technical customer contact when instructed to assist by MCCS.
  • Periodic maintenance of processing equipment.
  • Maintain records of all jobs processed. 
  • Ability to work according to production needs. 
  • Maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Enter production data to Shopstation system.
  • Work with MCCS to facilitate properly prepared materials for mailing.
  • Assist MCCS when needed for determining best mailing strategy for customer and in mailpiece design.
  • Import, process batches and output UPS and/or FedX shipping labels.


  • Familiar with Office Suite, database file structures, mailing regulations, ink jet procedures, list management strategies.
  • Experience with VBA and BCC Mail Manager a plus.
