Compensation: $35,000-$38,000/year+Individual Retirement Account
PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Marketing & Events Manager (MEM) is an organized and creative leader focused on upholding CMFDL’s marketing strategy while planning meaningful and visible family events. The MEM evaluates the needs of the community and collaborates with staff and partners to meet those needs. The MEM leads the development of promotional materials to effectively connect with the community and uphold the brand of CMFDL and its partners. This role is responsible for leading data collection tasks to ensure effectiveness of marketing strategies. The MEM serves on the staff leadership team to ensure the delivery of high-quality museum experiences that promote CMFDL’s mission, vision and core values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
●Acts as an ambassador of CMFDL and reinforces a positive museum culture.
●Collaborates with CMFDL leadershipstaff, community & industry partners and educators to identify priorities and topics to offer innovative learning programs and exhibits that support healthy development of children while engaging parents and caretakers.
●Helps drive brand and promotion strategies to improve search engine optimization (SEO).
●Ensures that events are developed and offered in alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives, mission, vision, diversity statement and partner commitments.
●Serves as co-champion for the museum’s management software to ensure accurate collection of utilization and customer data.
●Manages 6-8 family events annually, including assistance with related sponsor requests and grants and management of event budgets, activities, and coordination of contributors.
●Develops and maintains a 12-36 month plan for family events.
●Coordinate press releases and relationships with media partners.
●Collaborates with the CEO and Communications Manager to outline marketing strategy.
●Develops time lines to support quarterly program launches, the annual appeal communication, annual fundraising event (Young At Heart), and capital related campaigns.
●Directs the process for photo collection and storage, in a manner that supports sharing museum experiences.
●Leads staff training as necessary to drive brand awareness and promotion strategies.
●Serves on taskforce for new exhibit development
●Leads creation of all graphic elements and signage for the organization.
●Ensures development of marketing and promotional materials (brochures, flyers, posters, social images) inatimely manner to support communication efforts.
●Coordination of USPS mailers.
●Other duties as assigned.
