How you will contribute:
As a Plumbing Engineer, you will prepare detailed layouts for various plumbing, medical gas and compressed air systems. You will provide engineering oversight of plumbing projects, provide information to our estimating team relative to the bid packages, and lead review process for plumbing design and specifications. You will play a lead role in customer interactions to understand their building usage and internal processes in order to build a system that meets the needs of the facility. Exercise your ability to multi-task as you manage a workload of typically 3 projects and occasionally provide assistance to Ahern’s multiple regional offices.
What you need to qualify:
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, a Master Plumbing license or Designer of Engineered Systems credential ideally with some plumbing engineering experience in a fast-paced work environment. Proficiency in a recent version of AutoCAD with experience in Revit or Autodesk Fabrication MEP is a must. Candidates should also have a strong understanding of the commercial or industrial building construction industry, strong math skills and the ability to read blueprints.
