Starting Wage: $23.45/hr. and UP! including full benefits package, vacation and PTO time!

2nd shift – Monday – Friday 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM

Metal Melt/Hauling

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operation of metal processing equipment (ie: melting furnaces, chip dryer, crusher, elevator, etc.)
  • Involves loading equipment with ingot, scrap or other material
  • Requires surveillance of processes to determine proper operation and state of material and skimming requirements
  • Requires effective operation of equipment to transfer material between equipment or processing stages
  • Maintain adequate supply of molten metal in holding furnaces
  • Involves transporting material from melting to holding furnaces
  • Requires observance of metal supply of holding furnaces
  • Required to maintain equipment utilized and quality of material
  • Boil out bull ladle as required
  • Boil out, rod and skim holding furnaces as necessary
  • Skim, Flux, clean and maintain all furnaces and equipment as necessary
  • Empty furnaces in case of breakdown, power outage or metal change
  • Chip and clean furnaces as required
  • Salvage cylinder liners and remove scrap casting inserts from melting furnaces
  • Material is produced for variety of uses such as die case, ingots, molds, saws, charging blocks, etc.
