Your Work.

  • Install, replace, or change mechanical and electrical packaging equipment components according to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Inspect, test, and rebuild, as needed, damaged machine parts, controls, and document defective parts and areas.  Advise supervisors of repair needs and parts.
  • Dismantle machines and remove parts for inspection or repair, using proper hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
  • Start machines and observe mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic operation to determine efficiency.  Detect and resolve problems in the process. 
  • Reassemble and cycle machines after completion of repair/maintenance work.  
  • Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified and routine preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information in maintenance software and on maintenance logs and control sheets.
  • Read, activate, and execute work orders and specifications to determine and address packaging process equipment requiring preventative maintenance or repair. 
  • Set-up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.
  • Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
  • Maintain organization and documentation of parts as necessary.
  •  Validate equipment maintenance work and document findings. Complete QA improvement steps and document changes on equipment logs. 
  • Communicate concerns and operational findings to co-workers, especially when changing shifts.
  • Perform required preventative maintenance duties in a timely fashion.
  • General housekeeping duties of the entire campus.
  • Keep floors clear of debris, such as cheese, pallet fragments, and packaging materials, etc.


Your Education and Experience.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED/HSED) required or minimally enrolled with anticipated completion in 12 months or less
  • General journeyman’s card or equivalent field experience preferred.
  • Technical college education in a related field preferred.
  • Previous maintenance and/or food industry experience is preferred.
  • Strong background in Allen Bradly/Rockwell products is preferred.


Your Qualifications.

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn and carry out lock out tag out procedures as required.
  • Lifting 50 lbs. frequently.

Machinery, moving mechanical parts, and robotics are used during production, so the work environment is usually loud. During sanitation work, you may be exposed to wet, humid, damp conditions.
