Description:
The Ripon Area School District is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Reading Intervention Teacher to focus on meeting the Literacy needs of students in special education to join our team in serving students at Murray Park/Quest School beginning with the 2024-2025 school year. This teacher should be someone who is a positive team player, self-starter, holds a growth mindset, and someone who enjoys working with children as well as learning. He/she will join an excellent, collaborative team of experienced, supportive General Education teachers, Special Education teachers and Therapists, Administrators and Interventionists.

Qualified candidates will hold a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction issued license and be able to perform the following:
- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders in written and oral form, including electronic media, using positive interpersonal skills. Effective and positive communication with students, staff, and parents.
- Highly skilled at implementing best educational practices resulting in demonstrated student achievement gains
- Ability to organize, prioritize, manage and carry out duties efficiently and within established timeframes
- Ability to use effective strategies in differentiating instruction
- Knowledge of curriculum and instructional best practices for learning
- Exhibit knowledge of standards-based curriculum and instructional programs and practices for the elementary level.
- Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with students, parents, teachers and administrators.
- Demonstrate effective data-based problem solving skills.
- Implement instructional activities that contribute to a positive environment where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences aligned to portrait of a graduate
- Maintain high expectations for all students
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students
- Collaborate with the instructional team concerning student educational needs
- Clearly articulates deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students, support staff, and parents to ensure that students complete coursework in a timely manner
- Maintains contact with mentor teachers as assigned
- Assist students and parents with technical support requests relating to the course interface and student information systems
- Uses a variety of programs and software applications, as appropriate, to complete instructional and administrative tasks
- Create content aligned with state standards and standards-based grading (project-based learning)
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals in line with the District’s Board approved mission, vision, core values and guiding principles.
- Work with students, parents, and schools in a positive, proactive manner
- Provide direct consultation and guidance to students and parents on matters relating to courses, procedures, and learning strategies
