Description
Commonwealth Construction Corporation is excited to add a reliable Project Manager to the growing team, responsible for leading our Special Projects portfolio, which targets residential and light commercial construction. The Project Manager will be accountable for effective execution of the design, preconstruction, and construction phase on these projects, working alongside our internal and external Owners, developers, and design partners.
Project Manager will be headquartered at the Commonwealth corporate office in Fond du Lac, WI, with some travel required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify target customers and projects aligning with company goals
- Follow-up on bid opportunities
- Review and interpret bid documents necessary to submit a competitive bid
- Engage with trade partners during preconstruction phase to ensure successful project bed, start, and execution of construction phase
- Attend pre-bid meetings and meet with project Owners
- Manage supplier and subcontractor proposals with estimating department support
- Compile bids/budgets and review with upper management
- Ensure pricing is comprehensive and submitted accurately, working closely with the Preconstruction Manager and Estimator
- Upon project award, work with trade partners to ensure the best possible value and cost solutions are implemented
- Project management of all sizes and scopes, both commercial and residential from handoff to closeout
- Perform onsite project inspections, ensuring all safety and quality expectations are met
- Compile monthly pay requests and submit draws
- Work closely with company estimator
- Manage CCC self-performing field operations
- Weekly manpower planning across all projects utilizing CCC labor
- Close coordination with equipment facility and Yard Manager
- Compile and issue self-perform operations invoices
Requirements
- Proven working experience in residential/light commercial construction
- Advanced knowledge of construction processes and daily operations
- Expert knowledge of building producs, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
- Familiarity wit construction software packages
- Ability to plan and manage risk accordingly
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Leadership and human resources management skills
Salary description
$120,000- $150,000 yearly salary
