Spark Ops Metalworks is a full service, one stop metal fabrication shop in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Established in 2015, our team has over 60 years of collective welding and metal fabrication experience.

Our specialties include fiber laser metal cutting, robotic and manual welding, press brake metal forming, metal stamping, and drafting and design. Spark Ops Metalworks has fabricated metal components for aerospace, industrial, construction, and entertainment needs. If you can think of it, we can fabricate it.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and Robotic Welder Operator to join our team. As a Robotic Welder Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing and construction projects, ensuring the structural integrity and quality of our products.

You will be responsible for various welding tasks, including the assembly and joining of metal components using various welding techniques.

Our team performs manual MIG and TIG welding with an expert hand. We have a robotic MIG welding machine with a 13-foot robotic arm to execute large-scale welding projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal

  • Perform root cause analysis on welding defects and implement corrective

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project requirements

Skills

  • Proficiency in blueprint reading for welding projects
  • Experience with YASKAWA welding robot and DX200 Controller System or similar welding equipment
  • Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintenance of welding machinery
  • Ability to read schematics for welding layouts
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of tooling applications in welding processes

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of a certified welding program or apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Relevant work experience in welding is a plus.

Paid Holiday:

New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.

Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual begins after 6 months of employment, resetting on January 1st. You can receive a payout for up to 40 hours at year end.
