ROLE OVERVIEW
Responsible for supporting and facilitating daily activities related to the company safety program across all company locations. This position is responsible for coordinating efforts surrounding the following: organizational safety, safety compliance, safety inspections, accident investigations, employee training, safety communication, OSHA and DOT records compliance.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Responsible for maintaining and implementing the company safety program and helping to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Coordinate and conduct inspections, audits, and assessments for safety and compliance
- Actively participate in completion of incident reports, investigations and corrective actions
- Assist with tracking and reporting claims to insurance carrier
- Coordinate return to work and light duty assignments for employees with restrictions
- Assist with accurate preparation of safety reporting and metrics to include: compiling, maintaining and analyzing data
- Assists with maintaining compliance with recordkeeping requirements, including OSHA and DOT
- Assist with preparing, implementing and documenting safety training
- Responsible for creating safety communication, including regular safety posts, communication screen topics and safety reminders
- Develops, implements and conducts safety training in alignment with company and OSHA compliance
- Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, processes and regulations
- May be required to flex hours to support all areas of the business
- May be required to travel to other locations as needed
- Additional duties as assigned by management

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, related field or equivalent experience required
- Experience of one (1) to three (3) years in a safety or environmental health and safety role required
- Experience in a distribution and/or sales environment preferred
