We’re looking for a Senior Applications Developer to work at Burke Headquarters and develop applications and automated systems that improve business processes and help us bring play to the communities we serve!

The Role

This role helps Burke in these key areas:

  • Analyzes systems, defines operations, and identifies, recommends, programs, and implements changes and improvements to existing and new applications
  • Formulates and/or works with others to define project scope and objectives, identifying conditions and criteria required to achieve the results we need!
  • Creates or modifies applications to solve complex problems taking into consideration all of the big picture factors
  • Prepares detailed specifications and designs, codes, compiles, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains programs
  • Develops improved program test and controlled manual testing procedures to ensure accuracy of programs, systems, and manual operations
  • Coordinates functions and procedures between departments to assure smooth implementation of new procedures and/or operations
  • Trains department supervisors and managers on changes due to system revisions or hardware/software changes and trains departments on “what’s new”
  • Be in the know on all the latest changes and improvements to systems processors and programming techniques

Qualifications That Move Us!

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or related education and experience and/or training
  • Computer Skills Required – .NET Programming languages (VB, C#), T-SQL, MS SQL Server and associated modules, proficient with MS 365, VBA for Office automation/macros, tech support experience (Tier 2), Azure Cloud Computing Services
  • High Math Skills – Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in one-on-one and group situations with managers, customers, other employees and the general public
  • Needs to be able to communicate technical information in a non-technical manner (you know, speak the “user” language)
