Description

Under the direction of the Director, Commercial Operations, identify business trends, conducts root-cause analysis of business problems, draws conclusions about the business and implement changes or improvements that will improve performance, efficiency, quality, or compliance of operations. Support Sales and Marketing leadership and by conducting data mining, analyses and reporting of Sales business data. Provide data driven recommendations from internal and external sources in support of business decisions. Support ad hoc business needs and request to identify and articulate business issues. Create, develop and track key performance indicators to aid in understanding the business and in improving decision-making.

1. Analytics / Data Management

  • Consult with the Director, Commercial Operations to ensure on-going analytical needs are being supported. Lead the development of information-driven business building ideas through understanding of Marketing & Sales strategies, work processes and IT systems.
  • Identify business trends, conducts root-cause analysis of business problems, draws conclusions about business operations, and implement changes or improvements that will  improve performance, efficiency, quality, or compliance of operations.
  • Develop and maintains a business update and dashboard of key business metrics (internal and external).
  • Provide key analytical support for ad hoc business needs and request to identify and articulate complex business issues. Develop and evolve key analytical tools to enhance the Sales Teams understanding of the business. 

2. Reporting

  • Develop consistent reporting, dash boarding and score carding capabilities to support the Sales teams in effectively piloting the business.
  • Responsible for tracking/ score carding performance to plan and providing recommendations on where to close gaps (based on analytical reviews of performance).
  • Develop and present business analysis  and analytical support slides. Update standardized scorecard reports for Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and initiatives.

3. Continual Systems Improvement

  • Identify and recommends changes to existing systems or reporting capability to improve business management and results.
  • Provide the professional business environment and unified direction required to continually improve the business unit to become a best in class organization with outstanding performance.
  • Cultivate, maintain and grow strong relationships with members throughout the organization.

4. Additional Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education

Required

Bachelors Degree or better in Business Administration.

Experience

Required

Apply scientific methodology to business issues. This includes: define the problem, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

 Advanced proficiency in Tableau, MS Excel, Access, Word and Power Point.

8 years: Minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience in sales, business analysis, economics, computers or mathematics required.
