What You’ll Do:
- Be a business wizard: You’ll provide expert advice, mentoring, and hands-on support to small businesses and startups, helping them grow, adapt, and succeed in an ever-changing economy.
- Future-proof local businesses: You’ll introduce entrepreneurs to cutting-edge tools and trends (hello, AI and digital marketing!) that will help them thrive in the digital age.
- Build a community of innovators: Organize workshops, networking events, and mastermind groups that connect our city’s brightest minds and give them the support they need to grow.
- Create impact that lasts: Your work will directly impact our local economy, ensuring it grows sustainably and equitably. When our businesses win, our community wins.
Who You’ll Work With:
- Entrepreneurs and small business owners: From first-time founders to seasoned pros, you’ll work with a diverse range of business leaders.
- IGNITE: You’ll collaborate with Envision’s entrepreneurship support network, working closely with the Advisory Committee of IGNITE to develop and deliver innovative programming to support the entrepreneur ecosystem in the greater Fond du Lac area. Meaning you’ll design and implement programs that reduce barriers to business creation.
- A dynamic, supportive team: You’ll be part of an economic development team that’s passionate about the future of business, collaboration, and creating positive change.
What You’ll Need:
- A love for small businesses and startups—they’re your jam.
- Experience in entrepreneurship, small business development, or economic development (bonus points if you’ve been a founder yourself!).
- A forward-thinking mindset—you’re always one step ahead on trends, technologies, and opportunities.
- An understanding of inclusive economic development and the importance of diversity in business.
- Skills in strategy, communication, and community building—you know how to rally people around a shared vision and make things happen.
- A knack for solving problems, because no two businesses are alike, and each one presents a new, exciting challenge.
