Society Insurance is seeking a Staff Underwriting Intern for Summer 2025 (with the potential to work part-time during the school year). Society’s interns work 40 hours per week throughout the summer and flexible scheduling opportunities are provided.
About the Role
- Orders risk control reports, police reports, and motor vehicle reports.
- Reviews risk control reports and summarizes findings to the Underwriting department.
- Prepares endorsement and cancellation reports.
- Prepares various reports by researching, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing research and project data.
- Assists in data entry for the Underwriting department.
- Completes a variety of projects and duties, as assigned.
About You
- You like to conduct research and stay current with underwriting guidelines.
- You enjoy coming up with new and unique ideas.
- You can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal.
- You like tasks that require attention to detail.
What it Will Take
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, ideally in accounting, business, economics, finance, or insurance & risk management.
- Full-time junior or senior collegiate status.
- Basic computer software knowledge.
