Tax Accountant

This is a unique opportunity to blend bookkeeping and accounting skills with tax preparation.  In this role, you will be responsible for collecting client information, generating or adjusting annual financial statements, and using this information to prepare or assist in the preparation of client income tax returns.  In addition, you will be the local resource and process lead for other tax filings including payroll, sales, property, and 1099s. 

Job Description

  • Work with client to collect necessary information for tax return completion
  • Complete non-complex account reconciliations including bank reconciliations to generate client financial statements
  • Prepare adjusting journal entries as necessary to correct client financial statements
  • Prepare and review tax returns with the tax team. Handle routine client tax questions
  • Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed.
  • Prepare payroll tax, sales tax, property tax, and 1099 filings
