Examples of Duties
Picks up county vehicle at Highway Department, then picks up veterans at their residence, transports them to one of 7 VA clinics and hospitals and back. Returns vehicle to highway department. Vehicle to be refueled at end of trips. Periodically washes vehicles and vacuums inside. Notifies highway department maintenance when vehicles need maintenance. Reports to Veteran Services Transportation Supervisor and provides time sheets when required. Typical Qualifications
Must have valid driver’s license and clean record. Background check required. Must be outgoing and able to communicate effectively. Must be comfortable driving in large cities. Supplemental Information
Hours: Varies. On Call. No guaranteed hours. No weekends or holidays* (*If available, be willing to drive in Memorial Day parade annually)
Pay:
0-4 hours: $50
4.1-6 hours: $75
6.1-all day: $100
