Description
The Ripon Area School District is looking for substitute teachers throughout the district. Candidates interested in becoming a short-term substitute teacher must hold an associate degree or a higher degree from an accredited college or university. Interested candidates will also need to complete a DPI-approved substitute teacher training course prior to subbing in the Ripon Area School District. There are many options for substitute training programs, including in-person training through one of the CESAs. If you currently do not have a license and would like to apply for one, we recommend using the STEDI course available 24 hours a day online at https://stedi.org/wi/. This 8- to 10-hour training will teach candidates about classroom management, instructional strategies, and special education strategies. Candidates must score 85% on the STEDI assessments to qualify for licensure and reimbursement. Interested applicants will also need to complete the Short-Term Substitute License application found on the Department of Public Instruction website at https://dpi.wi.gov/tepdl/elo as well as apply to the district positions through the WECAN website.
