We are professional, agile, and innovative and our goal is to About Us: SparkOps is a full-service, one-stop metal fabrication shop in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Established in 2015, our team has over 60 years of collective welding and metal fabrication experience. Our specialties include fiber laser metal cutting, robotic and manual welding, press brake metal forming, metal stamping, and drafting and design. SparkOps has fabricated metal components for aerospace, industrial, construction, and entertainment needs. If you can think of it, we can fabricate it.
Key Responsibilities:
Welding: Perform welding tasks with precision and accuracy, following the specific welding processes and procedures applicable to the project.
Material Preparation: Prepare and inspect metal surfaces and materials before welding to ensure they meet quality standards.
Weld Inspection: Conduct visual inspections and non destructive testing (NDT) to verify the quality of welds and make necessary adjustments as required.
Blueprint Reading: Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to complete projects as specified.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean welding equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety, and report any equipment issues promptly.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Quality Control: Monitor the quality of welds, identify defects, and take corrective actions to maintain high quality standards.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, such as fabricators, engineers, and supervisors, to achieve project goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
● Valid welding certification(s) in accordance with industry standards.
● Proficiency in various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, stick, and others.
● Experience in working with different types of metals and alloys.
● Knowledge of safety procedures and welding codes and standards.
● Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
● Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high quality work.
● Physical strength and stamina to work in various positions and environments.
● Effective communication and teamwork skills.
● Welding related certifications or additional training is a plus.
Education and Experience:
● High school diploma or equivalent is required.
● Completion of a certified welding program or apprenticeship is preferred.
● Relevant work experience in welding is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
