Workforce Programming Specialist

Position Scope

The Workforce Programming Specialist is responsible for the development and management of Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s workforce development programs including but not limited to Career Connections Academy, Project G.R.I.L.L., Summer Series for Interns & Co-Ops, Fond du Lac R.O.C.K., and the Solutions to the Fond du Lac County Workforce Joint Taskforce with the Northeast Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance (NEWMA).

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Competencies: Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Career Connections Academy

     

      • Develop, implement, and manage educational programming.

      • Identify, develop, and coordinate volunteers for programs.

    Fond du Lac R.O.C.K.

       

        • Develop, implement, and manage educational programming.

        • Secure sponsorship dollars to support program.

        • Identify, develop, and coordinate volunteers for programs.

        • Monitor program participation and ensure growth goals are met.

        • Help support marketing and PR strategies to promote program.

        • Coordinate all events and activities, meetings, tours, and outreach.

        • Develop budget and maintain proper financial reports.

        • Measure impact and evaluate success.

      Project G.R.I.L.L

          Additional Programs & Groups

             

              • Fond du Lac County Workforce Joint Taskforce with Northeast Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance (NEWMA)

              • ACE Academy Promotions Committee – Fond du Lac High School

            Program Development

               

                • Serve as the liaison with the business community to develop, design, and administer workforce programming. Ensure that all programs align with workforce needs in the community.

                • Build effective, supportive relationships in the business and education community to promote the Youth Apprenticeship (YA) program in partnership with CESA 6 utilizing the Inspire platform.

                • Build partnerships with businesses in Fond du Lac County to place high school, private school, technical college, and university students in businesses with internship and/or pre-apprenticeship programs.

                • Partner with the various school business and career teachers, advisors, and associated clubs to educate both on opportunities in the county.

                  Education/Experience

                     

                      • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

                      • Experience in organizing events or programs.

                      • Nonprofit experience is a plus.

                    Job Type: Full-time

                    Pay: $45,000.00 – $51,500.00 per year

                          • 8 hour shift

                          • Day shift

                        Ability to Relocate:

                           

                            • Fond du Lac, WI: Relocate before starting work (Required)
