Description

The School District of Oakfield is seeking full-time second shift custodian for our MS/HS building. Our philosophy is our roots run deep and our branches stretch far. We are a high performing rural school district with strong community support. Students and staff enjoy small class sizes for maximum educational opportunity. Our building recently underwent a major renovation and is a like new facility.

Candidates should be able to:

  • Keep building clean and in orderly condition-vacuum, sweep, mop, dust and scrub corridors, classrooms and restrooms according to approved practices along with removal of litter and waste from rooms daily
  • Work regularly requires standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling and occasionally requires some ladder work
  • Event set up and take down
  • Perform heavy lifting at times
  • Snow Removal
  • Summer painting and touch-up
  • Help operate fire alarm system
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Displays emotional stability, maturity, and the ability to work and communicate effectively and cooperatively with staff, students, student workers, parents and public
  • Be flexible and open to new ideas as well as express own ideas
  • Have a progressive, proactive approach to working
  • Previous work history indicates a good attendance record, dependability, confidentiality, reliability and a professional attitude
