Description
Kondex Corporation is looking for a night shift Atmosphere Heat Treat Operator to join the Atmosphere Heat Treat department.
All shifts will be 12 hours on 2-2-3 schedule (work two days, have two days off, work three days)
Current opening on night shift
Nigh shift hours: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am
Hours can fluctuate depending on customer requirements and training needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operate atmosphere heat treat equipment.
- Read recipes and work instructions.
- Follow established machine settings and parameters.
- Perform lock-out tag-out on equipment.
- Perform hardness inspections using Rockwell hardness testers and grinders.
- Participate in preventative maintenance program for the department and identify maintenance issues for correction.
- Close orders in computer system.
- Perform 5S activities within the cell.
- Assist in training full-time, part-time, and temporary associates in the department.
- The responsibilities listed above are not all encompassing of what may be asked of associates in this position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to perform essential job duties or ability to learn the duties.
- Ability to at times, work in a hot environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and bend/twist regularly.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Prior experience working with heat treat equipment is preferred.

$22.30 – $28.30+$3 per hr shift prem
