Concrete Foreman

JP Tank is seeking experienced, talented, and motivated individuals to join our agricultural concrete company as a Concrete Foreman. As part of our team, Concrete Foremen lead crews in the completion of various major agricultural concrete round tank and digester projects, always ensuring a safe and efficient workplace. Concrete Foremen coordinate tasks for crews according to current project needs and supervise the use of machinery. In some cases, you may need to train crew members on safe equipment use, as well as assume the responsibility of training apprentices. Ideal candidates will possess considerable professional experience in construction, particularly with concrete projects. You must also possess excellent leadership and communication skills.

JP Tank builds round tanks. With an emphasis on anaerobic digester tanks and agricultural waste storage, JP Tank employs a team of agricultural concrete specialists. Beyond constructing ALL shapes and sizes of waste storage tanks, JP Tank also constructs a broad spectrum of concrete projects such as feed storage bunkers, concrete foundations for steel digester tanks, 3D concrete flatwork, building foundations, RNG digester tanks, and parking lots.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:
Manage and oversee all aspects of concrete construction projects from start to finish.
Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.

Team Leadership:
Lead and supervise a team of concrete workers, ensuring they work efficiently and safely.
Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.

Quality Control:
Ensure that concrete work meets or exceeds quality standards and specifications.
Conduct regular inspections and address any issues promptly.

Safety Compliance:
Enforce and promote a culture of safety on the construction site.
Implement safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to them.

Communication:
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns.

Resource Management:
Manage and optimize the use of equipment, materials, and manpower.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Required Experience:

Proven experience as a Concrete Foreman in the construction industry, preferably concrete finishing.
Proven experience managing crews.
Strong knowledge of concrete construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
Detailed knowledge of OSHA guidelines, safety regulations, and best practices.
Experience with boom lift, skid loader, telehandler, and screed equipment.
Ability to read and interpret project and blueprint plans.
Extensive experience with dual pitch transits and/or total station.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel. High potential for out-of-town work.

Education and Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certifications in construction management is a plus).
Valid Driver License.
