Description
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Repairs and adjusts conveyor system
- Installs belts on conveyor system, tightens belts, adjusts tension rolls, aligns rollers and replaces defective parts
- Responsible for ordering parts from vendors for the conveyor system
- Work with Chief Mechanic & Fleet Manager and Operations Manager to ensure maintenance is being completed as needed
- Primary interface to warehouse management vendor
- Performs maintenance audits on the conveyor system
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control systems
- Cleans the conveyor system as needed
- Assists in moving semi-tractor trailers and small trucks in and out of loading bays
- Travels to other company locations to perform maintenance as needed
- Performs metal fabrication and welding as needed
- May be required to attend company meetings on non-scheduled work days
- Required to work (regular or overtime) or provide on call support on any day, may include nights, weekends and holidays
- May be required to flex hours to support all areas of the business
- Additional duties as assigned by management
WHAT WE VALUE

- Must understand lock out tag out procedures
- Must be qualified to operate a scissor lift

- Must possess or acquire basic mechanic tools
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Experience of three (3) to five (5) years of mechanic background preferred
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred
- Valid driver license and satisfactory driving record required
- Electrical Certification preferred
- Experience in a distribution and/or sales environment preferred
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
Due to the fast paced, highly physical demands of the position, job candidates will be required to complete a Post Offer Pre-Employment Physical (POPE). Job candidates must pass all aspects of the POPE to qualify for the position.
