Description

The Ripon Area School District is seeking qualified candidates for 2 full-time Special Education Teachers to join our team in serving Middle School and High School students at a small, near-site alternative learning program with a small student:teacher ratio and a heavy focus on Social/Emotional Learning, beginning with the 2024-25 school year.

Qualified candidates will hold (or be able to obtain) a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction License (1801 Cross-Categorical or 1830 EBD) and demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to develop and deliver high-quality education for students based on individual needs and IEP goals
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate well with all staff and students, as well as build rapport with students and families
  • Demonstrate good attention to details and timelines
  • Ability to collect, monitor and analyze student data to make informed educational decisions
  • Ability to be flexible, organized team player and strong advocate for students
  • Ability to arrange, coordinate and accompany off-campus, community-based learning experiences for students.
  • Demonstrate ability to implement a behavior management system to monitor individual student programs and progress
  • Participate in activities designated to promote professional growth
  • Perform related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
