The Role – What You’ll Do!
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures.
- Plan, develop, deliver, and coordinate effective EHS training to promote a strong EHS culture.
- Assist with activities that will increase employee engagement as well as improve EHS performance.
- Work with the department managers and employees to implement safety improvements, reduce the facility’s environmental impact, and implement EHS initiatives.
- Provide metrics and reports that support EHS performance and goals.
- Procure and maintain records, data, or information necessary to verify compliance with EHS requirements.
- Lead waste (hazardous, solid, bio-hazardous, etc.) handling activities.
- Ensure adequate controls are established within EHS-Management system for Site activities that can potentially affect compliance.
- Responsible to ensure the facility incident investigation process is done in a timely manner and root causes are identified and corrective actions are tracked through closure.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, spill response plans, and response equipment.
Qualifications That Move Us!
- A bachelor’s degree is required; a Science-related degree is preferred.
- Five (5) years of related experience is preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions may be considered.
- Strong work ethic – must be a self-starter and willing to do what it takes to complete the task
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to multi-task and execute tasks with a high attention to detail
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Office (especially Excel) proficiency
