Job details :
Under the direction of the Installations Manager and Service Coordinator/Specialist, erect and service machine tools and associated equipment at customer’s facility. This equipment may include, but is not limited to, complete machines, tool gauges, part wash stations, material handling equipment and inspection equipment.
Scope and Responsibilities:
Utilize various types of test instruments, such as VOM and an oscilloscope; working knowledge of  laser measurement devices.
Manage all functions of a machine installation; work with and instruct customer’s engineering employees, customer contracted Millwrights and Riggers, Electricians, and Pipe Fitters.  Supervise and manage all individuals associated with the machine installation and check-out.
Assist with Run-Offs required for machine acceptance.
Identify issues and delays that effect the performance of each install project.
Perform Health Checks and Recertification on machines in the field.
Perform Service on machines after installation by analyzing the malfunctions, making minor adjustments, recommending and assisting with repair parts orders, and performing actual repair work.
Prepare service reports, expense reports, installation reports, and other special reports as requested by the supervisor.
Use a laptop computer to interface/troubleshoot axis drives, spindle drives and vendor controls.
Willing to travel 100% both Nationally and Internationally.  When not traveling to a customer site, travel to Fond du Lac, WI, to train or support the build of machines or machine components.
Perform other duties as assigned.
 Skills:
High level mechanical and electrical aptitude.
High level troubleshooting machine tool issues.
Experience with CNC controls such as FANUC, Siemens or Heidenhain, preferred but general CNC controls knowledge is acceptable.
Ability to handle Customer and OEM factory deadlines and issues.
Read and interpret Assembly drawings, layouts, and Bills of Material.
Read and interpret Electrical schematics.
Work with English and Metric measurements.

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
Four to six years related experience and/or training.
