FT AM Shift- 12 hour shift
FT PM Shift- 8 hour shifts

Weekend Warrior- Work every weekend (12 hour shifts)-
**Work 24 hours, get paid for 36


The retention bonus is paid for individuals taking a posting of .5-1.0.

Total amount of bonus:

.9-1.0 – $8,000
.7-.8 – $6,500
.5-.6 – $5,000

Payments are paid out at 3 months (520 hours), 6 months (1,040 hours) and 12 months (2,080 hours). Examples of Duties

  • -Provides accurate, adequate, and legible documentation of residents’ care.
  • -Develops, plans, and continually updated resident care plans in order to keep care plan current.
  • -Maintains adequate, legible, accurate records.
  • -Takes and transcribed physicians’ orders.
  • -Gives shift reports for continuity of resident care.
  • -Ensures quality nursing care is provided to all residents on assigned unit.
  • -Performs nursing data collection for residents and contacts physician as needed under the supervision of the registered nurse.
  •  -Assists physician in examining and treating residents.
  • -Gives and records medications and treatments as prescribed and evaluates their effectiveness.
  • -Stimulates residents for rehabilitation potential.
  • -Participates in staffing of residents.
  • -Responsible for care and use of all equipment.
  • -Communicates with nursing staff, other disciplines, and families/guardians in residents’ needs.
  • -Responsible management of the unit assigned is expected.
  • -Assumes charge of unit under supervision of registered nurse.
  • -Ensures supplies are available for residents.
  • -Ensures safety on the job for self, residents, and staff by utilizing skills to prevent hazardous conditions and makes recommendations to the director and administration for effective safety measures on assigned unit and within the facility.
  • -Acts as a role model to peers and subordinates following the dress code of the facility and state regulations, and by maintaining good work habits.
  • -Continues own educational growth and development.
  • -Attends in-services as directed.
  • -Keeps abreast of current nursing literature.
  • -Keeps self informed of state and national issues.
  • -Performs all related nursing duties as directed by the designated supervisor.
  • -Manage, coordinate, and evaluate the nursing care provided to residents on tour of duty.
  • -Cooperate as a team member with all disciplines in meeting the residents’ needs.
  • -Assist in the training of nursing personnel.
  • -Provide for individual nursing care under the supervision of the registered nurse.
  • -Follow the HSS-132 Stats. Code, all federal regulations, and all facility policies, rules, regulations and in-service training requirements.
  • -Keep a positive mental attitude toward self and the job.
  • -Demonstrate practical skills and techniques necessary to implement the residents’ care plan. Typical Qualifications
  • -Must be at least 18 years of age.-Must be in good physical, mental, and emotional health.  
  • -Most possess a current Wisconsin Licensed Practical Nurse license. -Must demonstrate competence in good quality patient care.  
  • -Displays an attitude of sensitivity toward all residents and helps them attain the optimal functional level.
