Develops and executes digital initiatives that align with overall business objectives and strategies. Brings recommendations forward to drive demand generation, lead capture and site integration and optimization. Elevates digital performance through SEO, tagging and system integration strategies. Represents marketing in technical design, implementation and sustainment processes and protocols. This is a key position in supporting the brand’s digital commerce transformation. to deliver results that enhance Mercury’s leadership within its competitive arena.  The ability to listen and learn, apply empathy in development of insights, and collaboratively drive action will be keys to successful fulfillment of the requirements of this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementing Mercury branded online strategy and executional plans across all key stakeholder groups (OEM/Dealer/Boater) in alignment with business and brand goals, facilitating key product launches, globally.
  • Liaise with Marketing teams across Mercury brand portfolio, Brunswick Boat Group, OEM customers, and dealers and key retailers in pursuit of win-win Marketing solutions.
  • Define needs, socialize, and maintain comprehensive editorial & activation calendar for website aligning with business priorities and balancing the needs of Mercury’s comprehensive portfolio.
  • Lead development and implementation of user-centric digital campaigns – seasonal, topical, or triggered – including deployment governance and testing and post-campaign analytics and assessments.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to establish clarity of purpose for site and orchestrates and executes upon strategic direction and digital capabilities roadmap.
  • Oversees the design, development, and management of digital applications to support business goals and dealer and online reseller profitability.
  • Develops project proposals and/or project plans according to requirements established by internal business groups, evaluating requests against sound digital practices and system capabilities
  • Develops and maintains overall project timelines based on project requests; ensures any risks are evaluated, alleviated, and communicated promptly
  • Maintains and increases knowledge of industry standards and best practices to stay ahead of trends and inform business decisions specific to digital marketing, ensuring the business’ online presences are best-in-class
  • Analyzes data and develops, presents and/or implements recommendations for continuous improvement in Digital Marketing, communicating recommendations/modifications within the brand, retail, and eCommerce teams
  • Routinely collaborates with internal digital delivery teams and external digital agencies in day-to-day sustainment and optimization activities as well as the implementation of new functionality and tools
  • Manage, coach, and mentor direct reports to foster excellence in execution, improved capabilities, and greater engagement with Marketing and the broader organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Technology, or related field required.
  • 7 or more years professional experience inclusive of 5 or more years in marketing or customer-facing roles.
  • 3 or more years professional experience with direct accountability for digital marketing activities such as website product management, or eCommerce.
  • 2 or more years of experience managing staff and/or outside resources (agencies, freelancers, consultants).
  • Travel domestically, some international.
