Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Safety, Health and Environmental and with a dotted line to the Plant Manager(s), be a resource for all Safety related activities and issues and execute the safety processes as defined by the current Corporate Safety Goals for the assigned facilities/functions. Ensure a safety focused culture and assist in the mentoring and education of all Associates and teams as it relates to the safety of Associates. Oversee the Process Safety Management system for the assigned facilities and company.

This position will support the Production facility in Fond du Lac, WI, Distribution Center in Lomira, WI and Production facility in Chilton, WI.

What you need to be considered for the role:

  • Bachelors Degree in Safety Management or other related field required. An equivalent level of experience may be considered.
  • Four (4) or more years of related safety management experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • At least one (1) or more years of related Process Safety Management experience required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of occupational safety best practices, OSHA regulations, and disability management.
  • Ability to be analytical and decisive.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) through all levels of associates and management
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines and being able to meet deadlines while working through interruptions
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with Associates in different departments and at all levels of the organization
  • Strong understanding of the PSM and RMP programs to the facility
  • Strong understanding with the ability to lead updates for the “Site Plan”.

Preferred:

  • ASP/CSP (Associate Safety Professional/Certified Safety Professional) Certification is a plus.
  • PSM Certification required-Garden State or similar
  • 30 hour OSHA compliance course
