Description

The Ripon Area School District is seeking qualified candidates for two full-time special education student support staff (formerly known as teacher assistant/aide) to join our team in serving Middle School and High School students at a small, near-site alternative learning program with a small student:teacher ratio and a heavy focus on Social/Emotional Learning, beginning with the 2024-25 school year. The position is approximately 35 hours per week during the school year when children are present.

Qualified candidates will hold (or be able to obtain) a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Special Education Program Aide License and demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to develop and deliver high-quality education for students based on individual needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate well with all staff and students
  • Ability to pay attention to details and timeliness
  • Ability to collect, use and monitor student data
  • Ability to be flexible, organized, team player and advocate for students

You will join an excellent, collaborative team of experienced, supportive Special Education teachers and therapists.   Ripon has excellent facilities and materials available for serving students with special needs.  Details of the job may vary depending on the candidate’s strengths and talents. The district will provide all training necessary for this position.  A special education program aide license is required, but can be obtained upon hire.   

Wage is over $16.00 per hour.  Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, accumulative paid sick time, a personal day, Wisconsin retirement fund and more.
