The Vice President of Human Resources (VPHR) is responsible for developing and executing Badger Liquor’s human resource strategy in alignment with the overall business strategy and pillars. As a member of the senior leadership team, the VPHR provides strategic leadership, guidance and direction as well as articulates HR needs and plans to Badger Liquor leaders and ownership. This position is directly responsible for leading the human resources department including payroll, talent acquisition, communication and development.

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE

  • Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support Badger Liquor’s mission and strategic vision.
  • Develop, initiate and execute HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business objectives.
  • Function as a strategic business advisor for the president and the leaders.
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing: resource planning and succession; sourcing, recruiting, and hiring, onboarding; outsourcing; performance management; compensation, benefits, and rewards; employee engagement; and, compliance and controls.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Champion and model a Badger Liquor culture of positivity, curiosity, trust, collaboration and self-awareness.
  • Proficiently/expertly execute their responsibilities in alignment with Badger Liquor’s 3 pillars: Business Operations, Innovation and People.

BUSINESS OPERATIONS – Through cooperation and commitment to excellence, our processes are efficient and effective.

  • Plan and direct Badger Liquor’s human resource priorities, goals, policies, practices, and initiatives under the guidance of the president.
  • Oversee and support operational day-to-day management in all elements of the human resource operation.
  • Design strategies and oversee the development and completion of human resource related initiatives including budgetary planning, project milestones, metrics, and execution.
  • Develop comprehensive and strategic recruiting and engagement plan.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
  • Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Direct company communications to ensure that all materials transmit Badger Liquor’s identity in a favorable manner.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (MBA or MA/MS in human resources preferred).
  • Minimum of 15 years of HR experience in an executive or senior role.
  • Experience in a distribution and/or sales environment preferred.
